The race may stop the nation, but this is where the celebration starts.
Melbourne Cup returns to Ambrym Estate in 2026 for a day of racing, fashion, exceptional food and celebration, set against the sweeping hinterland and coastal views of the Estate.
Arrive from 11am for an hour of complimentary champagne, beer and canapés, before taking your seat from midday for a sit-down lunch presented by Vue Yeppoon accompanied by a selection of white and red wines, plus beer (an additional selection of beverages will be available for purchase
Including Champagne and spirits). With the race live on the big screens, the afternoon unfolds with music, entertainment, trivia, prizes and of course, Best Dressed.
Beyond the table, the celebration spills out across the lawns under umbrellas, relaxed lounge settings and open-air bars to ensure champagne is always in hand.
A few special details and surprises are being kept under wraps, with more of this year’s Soirée to be revealed as Cup Day approaches.

2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
Entrants must have a valid Instagram account and comply with the entry requirements outlined on the competition post.
3. Competition Period
The competition opens on Wednesday 7th October 2026 and closes at Wednesday 14th October 2026
Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter

Instagram accounts must be public at the time of the draw, or entrants must be able to provide evidence of their Story share if requested.
5. Prize
One winner will receive two tickets to Melbourne Cup at Ambrym Estate on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
Any additional expenses associated with attending the event that are not expressly included as part of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
6. Winner Selection
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using the electronic random draw platform Wheel of Names.
All eligible standard entries and approved bonus entries will be included in the draw.
7. Winner Notification
The winner will be drawn and announced on Thursday 15th October 2026
The winner will be contacted only via the official @ambrymestate Instagram account.
The winner may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility before the prize is awarded.
If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within [24/48 HOURS], or is found to be ineligible, Ambrym Estate reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
